Our EIT-laboratory is equipped with different kind of process simulators. With these simulators various process applications can be examined. Our main applications are multiphase flow measurement, mixing and separation. The main research goal in process tomography research is to improve the use of EIT in the above mentioned applications. Specially we are interested in sophisticated image reconstruction techniques including the accurate modelling of whole measurement situation and the application specific prior models
The flow pipe is constructed for the developing of the dynamical estimation methods for the multiphase flow measurement. The whole pipe can be seen on the left figure. The velocity of the flow is adjustable from the laminar to the turbulent. The electrodes (4 x 16) are attached on the straight part of the pipe (in the right figure).

Below is an example in which saline solution is injected to the flow pipe. First injection is added near 5 second and another one near 20 second. Near 40 second the pump of the flow loop started and stopped immediately. Last saline pulse is injected near 50 second.
